Incentives

Many team thrive on incentives. i am going to referr to the BEST PRACTICES section of this site for many ideas that other agens have shared.

I will tell you it is not the COST of the incentive as much as it is the timing and delivery.

1) Always reward in a group or infron of a peer.
2) Never make it a habit or chore , it has to be fresh.
3) Attach the incentive to the behavior you want to change or reward.
4) More often is better than more....especially if you have never done this. Once a month is better than never.
5) Always ask for the teams input on the prize. You will be suprised. "I got better production and activity from $100.00 in hockey tickets than I did a $900.00 laptop computer.
6) Track & Post your results, so the feeiling last longer and it in itsself acts as a motivator.
7) Make sure you can afford it, as they may supprise you. Dont get in the trap where you wish you had no of made a challange you though was impossible to meet and it gets met.
8) Make it FUN
9) Dont think about what motivates you, and think they will appreciate it.
10) Remember their families, work prizes around their spouse and kids and it will carrier over into the family. A happy home help at work !!!
